Black Stars boss, Chris Hughton, has laid priority on overseeing a successful Black Stars over one, which plays ‘beautiful football’.
The former Brighton boss was unveiled in Kumasi, as head coach of the senior national team on the morning of March 20, weeks after the GFA’s announcement.
In his first words as Black Stars boss, Hughton signified the importance of returning silverware to a country which has failed to win one for 41 years.
“We want to see a winning team, because there can be and there would be lot of questions on our style of football – are you too defensive, are you too offensive? - players that play. Ultimately, what we all want to see is winning football and that starts with the correct preparation of the team.
“Using the players to the best of their ability and picking a team that suits the type of players we have,” Hughton explained.
The Black Stars’ first training session since Hughton’s arrival is expected to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday – under the supervision of assistant, George Boateng.
