Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has penned a heartfelt message to the Back Queens ahead of their semi-final clash with hosts Morocco at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Women’s secure national team take on the North Africans on Tuesday, July 22 for a slot in the finals for the first time since 2006.
Ghana booked a place in the last four following their 4-2 penalty victory over Algeria at the quarter-finals.
In a statement released, Jordan said: "To my sisters, the Black Queens! I'm beyond proud of the way you've represented Ghana on the biggest stage. Your determination, skill, and teamwork are an inspiration to us all.
"As you prepare to take on Morocco in the semifinals, I want you to know that the entire Ghanaian football family is behind you.
"We're rooting for you, and we believe in your ability to make history. Go out there, give it your all and make Ghana proud!. Let's do this, Queens!"
Ghana's semifinal test, however, comes against a formidable Moroccan side, who were runners-up in the previous edition and buoyed by home support.
