Information reaching Adom Entertainment News indicates that award-winning group, Wutah is officially back together.
A source close to the camp of the music duo has hinted that the two artistes who make up the group; Afriyie and Kobby, decided to put their differences behind them and reunite after six years of breaking up.
According to the source, Kobby and Afriyie were expected to officially announce their reunion at the just ended Kwahu Easter celebrations and even perform at the event.
However, this could not materialise although Adom Entertainment News can confidently confirm that the long-awaited reunion of the ‘Big Dreams’ hitmakers is finally a reality.
Their reunion follows a similar move by music group Praye, who came together after years of break up.
Daniel Morris, who is known in the entertainment circles as Wutah Kobby and Frank Osei, also known as Afriyie, embarked on solo careers and released some individual songs.
Some entertainment pundits believe that their solo projects do not match the songs they released when they were together as a group.
Afriyie’s maiden solo track, ‘Love Of My Life’ was a success story and it was nominated for the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in the ‘Highlife Song of the Year’ category.
He followed that song with tracks like, ‘Tontonte’ and a collaborative piece with Sarkodie, ‘Go Gaga’, which is currently enjoying a lot of airplay.
Kobby also released tracks like, ‘Chiochio’ and ‘Ambulance’ which also features Sarkodie among others.
Adom Entertainment spoke to some music lovers who expressed their excitement about the group’s decision to work together again.
One fan said he cannot wait to see them perform some of their old tracks like, ‘Adonko’ ‘Goosy Gander’ and ‘Burning Desire’ together.
