Yango Ghana, part of global tech company Yango Group, has wrapped up the breast cancer awareness month with a free breast cancer awareness lecture and screening for its partner drivers, couriers, and staff. The screening took place on Friday,31st October 2025 at the Yango Ghana Head Office in Accra in partnership with Claron Health International, an innovative corporate health and wellness company delivering medical, occupational, and preventative healthcare services.
This initiative builds on a series of cancer awareness activities organized by Yango in recent years including free breast and prostate cancer screening at the University of Ghana in 2023 and free breast cancer screening for partner drivers, couriers and passengers at the Makola Market in 2024.
The activity forms part of Yango’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its partner drivers, couriers and employees. The day was characterized by an educational session on the myths, symptoms, prevention and treatment of breast cancer. This was followed by free examination and medical consultations.
Mr. Emmanuel Koduah, Country Manager for Yango Delivery in Ghana, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to promoting the safety and well-being of Ghanaians. He stressed the importance of regular health checks to ensure early detection and treatment of any complications, noting that early intervention saves lives. He stated, “Our priority is the health and well-being of our community. We emphasize regular health screenings, particularly for women, to help prevent and manage potential health issues.
This partnership with Claron Health International was established to organize this screening and raise greater awareness among the women on our platform.”

Dr. Dennis Addo, CEO of Claron Health International, urged all Ghanaians—particularly women—to make their health and well-being a top priority by focusing on preventive care. He led the breast cancer education session during the event.
He stated, “Yango’s commitment to ensuring that its drivers, couriers, passengers, clients and employees undergo regular health checks is truly commendable. Routine screenings are vital for early detection of health issues, allowing for timely intervention and prevention of future complications. We are delighted to partner with Yango this year to positively impact the lives of Ghanaians, especially the women on the Yango platform.”
One of the female partner drivers who was present at the training and screening, Akosua Agyeiwaa said ‘’ I learnt a lot from this session. We often hear about this breast cancer topic but there were a lot of things we misunderstood and were confused about. This session and the screening has helped us understand it better. Now i know how to check myself and when to report abnormalities to the health experts for care and treatment.’’
The breast cancer awareness session and health screening follows a series of activities organized by Yango for its Ghanaian community recently These include the Yango Education Program offering free data analytics courses in Python & SQL, safety awareness programs and training for partner drivers and couriers, International Youth Day Celebrations, and the Urban Mobility Hackathon among others.
