The Youth of Abayee in the Central Region have mounted road blocks in the town following a tip-off that the murder suspect in the recent killing of three women in a nearby town may be seeking refuge there.
Abayee is a few kilometers from Kissi and the chief of Abayee, Nana Kwaku Ababio Fabir told Joy News they are taking the necessary precautions to ensure none of his subjects falls victim to the suspected assailant.
He said the town folks are therefore on a lookout for any “stranger” in their midst.
He hinted that the suspect might have some marks all over the body because he escaped through the bush.
Police have arrested nine people in connection with the killings, which occurred in Kissi and Besease.
It’s believed the women were murdered for rituals purposes.
