A 37-member contingent of Zamalek Football Club arrived at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra to play Berekum Chelsea FC in the CAF Champions League game on Saturday, July 7, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Oduro Sarfo, Accra Representative of Chelsea confirmed to GNA Sports that the Egyptian champions touched down on Thursday afternoon and will be based at the Oak Plaza Hotel, Spintex Road, Accra.
He said the team will have daily training sessions at the Presbyterian Senior High School Park at Legon before their final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, a day ahead of the match.
Zamalek, who are being handled by renowned Egyptian coach Hassan Shehata has Abdel-Wahed El-Sayed, Ahmed El-Shennawy and Mahmoud Abdel Rahim as goalkeepers, with Hani Saied, Mahmoud Fathallah, Mohamed Abdel Shafi, Ahmed Samir, Omar Gaber and Sabry Raheel as defenders.
The midfield has Hazem Mohamed Emam, Islam Awad, Alexis Enam Mendomo, Ibrahim Salah, Mohamed Ibrahim, Nour El Sayed, Ahmed Tawfik, Saied Mohamed Otta, with Abdoulaye Cissé, Amr Zaki and Ahmed Gaafar as the main strikers.
