Globacom, one of Africa’s leading telecommunication companies has pledged to end soccer hooliganism on the continent, making the great sports of soccer a means of uniting and entertaining the people of Africa, rather than a means of separating them and causing havoc and destruction.Speaking at the signing ceremony of a five-year deal between Ghana National Supporters Union (GHANSU) and Globacom, the Company’s Head of New Markets, Mr. Yinka Olafimihan said Globacom was collaborating with national supporters unions to enhance the standard of the game in Africa as well as make it easy for fans to be attracted to the game.“African football fans would soon become a model and reference point in World football” Olafimihan said.
