Last year, Betway Ghana introduced their community basketball tournament, Betway Hoops, in Takoradi. This initiative falls in line with their continued commitment to enriching lives through sports.
The Betway Hoops tournament was held in collaboration with the Tema Regional Basketball Association. The primary aim of this initiative was offering talented basketball players and teams, in communities in and around Tema, an opportunity to showcase their talent.

Eight teams from the area faced each other in a tough but fun competition with the winning teams walking away with awesome cash prizes. Eager fans also got a chance to compete in the slam dunk competition, 3-point shootout and the free throw contest.
The competing teams included Nungua Cold Store, Tema Heat, Francophone, A.K Rifles, Teshie Rangers, Teshie Vikings, Community 2 and Community 4.
Betway is no stranger to the sporting community and is the official headline sponsor of four leading Ghana premier league clubs. The basketball tournament comes after the successful conclusion of the Betway Cup which was organized to assist local teams to keep in shape in the absence of competitive football.
In the last two years, Betway Ghana has been a major part of the Ghanaian sports development landscape with the Betway Talent Search, Easter Galas, club sponsorships and community tournaments all geared towards the enriching the sports community in Ghana.
