The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum wishes to inform the general public that short-term load management programme has begun over the weekend and is expected to continue for the next seven days.
This is due to challenges relating to the availability and treatment of fuel for the optimum operation of the Volta River Authority’s thermal plants.
The Ministry would like to assure the public that all efforts are being made to restore normal power supply within the stipulated period.
Consequently, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will announce a load management programme within the next 48 hours.
