Government says it has identified more assets owned by businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome which it intends to sell off to defray debts to the state.
Deputy Attorney-General Godfred Dame said two properties have been identified at East Legon and Abelemkpe, all in Accra.
Already the state has obtained a Supreme Court order to sell off a number of properties after Woyome and now defunct UT Bank failed to prove that the properties belonged to the Bank.
The properties are located at Trassaco Valley estates and Accra New Town which the state has valued at ¢20m .
If auctioned off successfully, the state would have slashed this amount off the ¢47.2m. With some ¢27.2m left, the state is on a property-hunt.

The Deputy A-G revealed on JoyFM’s Super Morning Show Friday, the found two more during the course of proceedings in court.
There is the Anator Holdings company Ltd office building at East Legon in Accra. That company is owned by the businessman.
There is also another building in Abelemkpe in Accra which Woyome says belongs to his brother, a claim Godfred Dame called “a sham.”
These properties were listed under deeds of mortgage presented in court by the Receivers of defunct UT Bank, the deputy A-G said.
The Receivers were protesting in court moves by the state to sell off assets which the Receivers maintained no longer belong to Alfred Woyome. The court has said they do belong to the beleaguered businessman.
Godfred Dame believes the two extra buildings could fetch some ¢10million more. This would leave government with ¢17m in assets to find and sell.
The deputy Attorney-General said the state is ready to follow up on leads it gets on the location of other properties belonging to Mr. Woyome.
