Musician Choirmaster has paid a deeply emotional tribute to his late wife, actress and entrepreneur Beverly Ama Afaglo-Baah, remembering her as a loving, generous and deeply faithful woman whose strength and compassion transformed his life.

Delivering his final tribute at the funeral service for Beverly at the forecourt of the State House in Accra on Saturday, August 8, Choirmaster reflected on the life they shared and the family they built together.

He expressed gratitude for the support, encouragement and prayers his wife offered him throughout their marriage, saying her influence had strengthened his faith and shaped him in profound ways.

“Thank you for your encouragement of the beautiful family we built together. Thank you for every prayer, every act of kindness; you strengthened my faith,” he said.

While Beverly was widely recognised for her achievements in the entertainment industry, Choirmaster said he knew and cherished the woman behind the public persona, someone whose generosity was not driven by a desire for recognition.

“Many knew you as a gifted actress and an endearing actress. But I knew of the beautiful heart behind every achievement. You loved deeply and gave generously. And you never once sought recognition,” he said.

He also paid tribute to her contribution to Ghana's film industry, noting the impact of her work on audiences and highlighting her involvement in Traffic Shawarma.

“Through your acting and film works, you touched countless hearts with hope and kindness, especially with Traffic Shawarma,” he said.

‘You never stopped trusting God’

Choirmaster's tribute also centred on Beverly's faith and resilience during her battle with illness.

He recalled how, despite the difficulties she faced, she continued to hold on to her faith and became a source of strength for him during moments of fear and uncertainty.

“Even in the midst of your battle, you never stopped trusting God. You comforted me when I was afraid. Your resilience, courage, and steadfast belief in God’s promises inspire me every day,” he said.

He said witnessing his wife's courage through her illness had left an indelible mark on him.

“Witnessing your strength has changed me forever. Rest well, my queen. I love you,” he added.

The funeral brought together personalities from Ghana's entertainment, business and political circles, who joined family and friends to mourn the actress and entrepreneur.

Among those who attended were Yvonne Nelson, Van Vicker, music duo Keche, Rex Omar, Obour, Eunice Banini, Jackie Appiah, Captain Planet of 4×4, businessman Ibrahim Mahama, Selassie Ibrahim, Nana Ama McBrown, Adjetey Annan, Roselyn Ngissah and John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, among others.

Beverly Ama Afaglo-Baah died on Sunday, May 24, 2026, aged 42.

Her death triggered an outpouring of grief across Ghana's entertainment industry, with colleagues, friends and fans remembering her for her work as an actress and entrepreneur and her contribution to the creative industry.
