The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has introduced an online job centre portal app to boost employment opportunities in Ghana for both employers and employees.
The job centre portal, according to the Chief Executive Officer of the YEA, Justin Kodua, will provide two modules which are the online centre and the walk-in platform where people can walk in anytime to their offices for assistance on employment-related issues.
“The YEA has always been in the transition period and we are doing very well this time round and as an agency, our vision now is to do something extraordinary and not employment as usual,” he said.
Speaking Tuesday, in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr Kodua said the new portal will provide Ghana with a collective database of the youth which can be factored in economic planning.
“So we have introduced the YEA job centre platform to facilitate employment in Ghana. It is ready now but we don’t want to rush in publicising it, but it is currently on a test run and will be launched by the end of the month,” he said.
“The job centre will also have a training hub for Curriculum Vitae writing and other professional training as well as foreign jobs components,” he added.
