The Public Procurement Authority (PPA) has received a Quality Choice Prize Award in Berlin, Germany from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).
The award presented to the CEO of PPA Agyenim Boateng Adjei and some Board Members was in recognition of its prominent initiatives and demonstration of exceptional leadership.
The ESQR’s Quality Choice Prize, organized by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), undertakes a comprehensive assessment of the initiatives and strategies that business leaders across the world implement in their companies and organisations.
This annual awards, therefore, acknowledges the efforts of exceptional and talented employers and employees and provides motivation for continuous progress.
In his remarks, the PPA CEO stated the need for world leaders to recognize their place as critical change agents and attach a deeper commitment and passion for the delivery of their work.
He said procurement has become one such important instrument to effect change and bring about economic transformation in developing countries.
The CEO of PPA Mr Boateng Adjei, the Vice Board Chairman, Samuel Richard Nee Baidoo, and two other Board Members, Ernestina Jemima Eshun and Emmanuel Yaw Boakye participated in the Convention and Awards giving ceremony on July 7, 2019, at the Grand Hyatt Berlin.
Other award winners over the years include the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Bolivia, State Bank of India, Chapman University (USA), Bedford College (the United Kingdom), Delta Airlines (USA), BMW Group from Germany among others.
