The National Sports Authority (NSA) has released advance tickets for the Ghana versus Egypt World Cup qualifying play-off first leg on sale.
It has in all allocated 33,000 tickets for sale to fans for the crucial match in the over 40,000 all-seater Baba Yara Stadium on October 15.
The tickets, which sell between GH¢5 to GH¢50, will see the VIP go for GH¢50 per seat, VIP Wing for GH¢30 per seat, Centre Line for GH¢10 per seat, while seats behind the posts — popularly referred to as the popular stand — will sell for GH¢5 each.
The Authority has also made available 5,000 tickets to the various supporters groupings, while the remaining 2,000 will go to the media, various security personnel on duty and officials of the NSA.
The acting Director General of the NSA, Alice Attipoe, told Graphic Sports that advance tickets could be purchased at the Accra and Kumasi stadia, the offices of African Origin Travel & Tours, and some FM stations in the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions.
Meanwhile, the NSA has warned fans to desist from purchasing already used tickets as tickets went on sale yesterday.
According to the authority’s PRO, Hamid Issaka, the detectable ticketing machine could easily identify used and unused tickets, including the time of their usage.
“Once you enter into the gate, the ticket is defaced, so fans must not buy tickets that have been defaced,” he told Graphic Sports.
