The Black Stars hammered Asokwa Deportivo, a Kumasi based second division side 7-1 in a feisty warm-up game ahead of the World Cup play-off against the Pharoahs of Egypt.
Udinese based Emmanuel Agyemang Badu led what appeared to be the second string side of the Stars and opened the goal harvest with a thumping header from a sumptuous David Addy cross on the left in the 28th minute.
But the lead lasted for just a minute. The youngsters drew level courtesy a superb shot by Michael Gyamfi just at the edge of the 18 yard box beating Adam Kwarasey in the process.
Russia based Wakasu fired the Stars back into the lead with a thunderbolt from 30 yards leaving the Deportivo goal keeper completely beaten.
Daniel Opare advertised a great overlapping run on the right and whipped in a cross from close range but the Deportivo defender under pressure to clear his lines tapped the ball into his own net for the Stars’ third.
Mahatma Otoo headed in from close range to end the first half which was a little less competitive.

Micahel Essien bull dozed his way through the midfield and set up Majeed Warris who fired low and hard to beat the Deportivo goal keeper.
Kwadwo Asamoah was deployed in a left back position but with the laxity to join the attack when necessary.
Sulley Ali Muntari and Michael Essien marshaled the midfield with Adoma and Dede Ayew supporting from the flanks.
Richard Olele Kingson came in for Kwarasey amidst a thunderous applause from the crowd but he was hardly tested.
Sulley Ali Muntari crowned the goal harvest with a delicate tap from close range.
Even though the Stars won overwhelmingly they still need a lot telepathy.
