Blow to Boeing
The decision by Qantas to opt for Airbus over Boeing comes as the US plane maker remains engulfed in crisis over the grounding of its 737 Max fleet. It was Boeing's best-selling model until it was forced to stop flying earlier this year after two crashes involving the jet killed 346 people. The firm is now attempting to get approval for software fixes to the aircraft's flight-control system, which was identified as a key factor in the disasters.DISCLAIMER: The Views, Comments, Opinions, Contributions and Statements made by Readers and Contributors on this platform do not necessarily represent the views or policy of Multimedia Group Limited.
