Veteran gospel musician, Mary Ghansah wants churches to protect the talents of the gospel arts in the country.
“The church is supposed to protect me, protect my gift so I think they are in a better position now to do the right thing to help us mature so we can be more beneficial to the kingdom of God”, she said in an interview on “E WITH BECKS” show on Joy Prime.
The veteran musician called for a collaboration between churches and gospel musicians during religious events as churches also patronize gospel music.
“I know that some churches or pastors have taken advantage of some musicians so they decide on part payment before they come.
“I have had that experience before. They tell you, go, I will call you and he will not even pick his call,” she stated.
Mary insisted such an attitude must change because the church which should protect Ghanaian music art, should not be culprits of wrongdoings against them.
