The Brong-Ahafo Regional Sports Council is to host this year’s Inter-Regional amateur boxing championship in Sunyani from June 11-16.
Mr. Edward E. Wilson, Regional Sports Development Officer said this in a statement made available to the GNA Sports in Sunyani on Wednesday.
It said that the Council would organise a medical examination and weighing for the participating boxers.
A mini press conference would also be held by the Council on Thursday in Sunyani to brief the media on creating the necessary awareness about the championship.
The main championship would commence on June 13 at 1600 hours with Prince Ernest Oduro-Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council expected to address the closing ceremony.
Medals, certificates and cash prizes would be presented to the participants, the statement added.
