City rivals, Accra Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak on Sunday shared honours in the 23rd Week league game of the Onetouch Premiership at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park.
A goal a piece, first from Olympics in the first half and then a reply from Hearts in the second ensured the game ended one all.
The match, which was originally scheduled for the Ho Stadium had to be relocated to Dansoman following a request by Olympics to the Professional League Board (PLB) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to use the venue as their home ground for the game.
The two sides sold quite an impressive performance even though they were cautious in their approach to the game resulting in the creation of few chances.
The earliest of the chances however came in the 25th minute, when Olympics Edward Sosu’s free-kick hit the posts and bounced off the goal line to deny them the lead.
Just as the game was getting to the close of the first half, Olympics benefited from a defensive blunder in the 41st minute, with Michael Ocansey firing the ball into the roof of the net which keeper Suleman Abubakari had no answer to.
The goal separated the two sides in the half with Olympics coming out strongly in the second half to consolidate their lead.
It was however short-lived as Hearts clawed back into the game with the introduction of Stanley Afedzie for Francis Bossman in midfield.
Hearts lifted up their game and got the equaliser in the 63rd minute through Ekow Ghansah when he fired a shot from the edge of the box.The goal set the stage for the two sides to battle for the winner and they made countless efforts to score but failed to put their acts together.
