Youthful coach Isaac Opeele Boateng of Tema Youth has decided to quit football at the end of the 2007/2008 league season.
Opeele, who has been described as the Mourinho of Ghana football for sharing his views on any subject, cited verbal assault and family pressure as reasons for his sudden decision.
This decision comes in the wake of Tema Youth’s travails to escape relegation in the soon to end Onetouch Premier League, left with only two games to close.
Opeele’s team lies 13th on the 16-club league table after dropping vital points against King Faisal in their 28th week league fixture.
Speaking to Asempa Sports, the young coach revealed when he quits football, it will be for good to enable him concentrate on politics.
He believes the political circle will offer him a better platform to voice his candid opinions. Opeele however believes Tema Youth can survive the relegation threat.
He previously worked at Mighty Jets, Sekondi Hasaacas and Kessben FC.
