After appending his signature on a four-year contract which runs until June 2012 for Inter Milan, Sulley Ali Muntari has stated that his objective now is to win a lot of trophies for the Italian Champions.
“It was my dream to play for a big team like Inter. I want to win a lot with this team,” the Ghanaian International said, adding, “I am ready to do anything and play in any position to help the team to win.”
The 23-year-old, who was presented to the media and fans by new coach José Mourinho and Gabriele Oriali at the sporting centre "Angelo Moratti" in Appiano Gentile last Monday, thanked the technical team and management of the club for the confidence reposed in him, and observed that with a big team like Inter, he would not expect to get playing time all of the time “because I know there are many world class players in the squad”.
Muntari signed for Udinese in 2002 and played for the Italian Seria A club until last year when he joined Premiership giants Portsmouth, helping them to win the English FA Cup.
With his move to Inter Milan for £12 million, the Ghanaian would play under the guidance of renowned and controversial former Chelsea Boss, Jose Mourinho and alongside world class players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic Patrick Vieira and Hernan Crespo.
