Ghanaian international Anthony Annan says experience gained from playing for the Black Stars puts him in a good stead to make an impact in the English Premiership.
Annan, who is hopeful of completing a move to Premiership side, Blackburn Rovers from Stabaek in Norway is now training with Rovers and says he is happy to be working with former England international and Blackburn coach, Paul Ince.
Despite being just 22, Annan feels he has enough experience to make an immediate impact at Blackburn.
"I have experience of European football, playing in the very tough and physical Norwegian league with Staebek who are leading the championship just now," he continued.
"I have played in the African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers with the Ghana national team, playing alongside Essien and Muntari and that has helped me develop and although I am 22, I am mature and ready for the Premier League."
The Black Stars midfielder who has been compared to the likes of Claude Makelele and international team-mate, Michael Essien, regards Ince as an inspirational figure within the game.
"I am very proud to have the opportunity to work with Paul Ince, everybody in world football knows what a great player he was and to have the opportunity to learn from him is fantastic, it can only help to make me a better player," Annan told skysports.com.
'Training has been great, the facilities at Blackburn are the best I have experienced and all of the players and coaching staff made me feel really welcome.
"The atmosphere was friendly and bubbly and I am here to work hard, learn and to impress."
Atletico Madrid and AC Milan have both been reported to have made enquiries in recent weeks about Annan.
