Kumasi Asante Kotoko failed to go top of their Confederation Cup group after losing 2-0 away to JS Kabylie in Algeria on Sunday.
And the result typifies the poor away record of the Porcupine Warriors, who finished the game with a man less after substitute, Kwadwo Poku was sent off in the second half.
A first half penalty scored in the 7th minute by Bensaid Adlene put the host in front before Tayeb Berramla sealed the game six minutes from time.
The result leaves Kotoko bottom of the group even though all four sides are level on six points apiece.
Kotoko will have to win their next match at home to Etoile du Sahel to improve their chances of reaching the Confederations Cup final.
