A circuit court at Asamankese, remanded Abdul Karim Bosompem, a 24-year-old farmer for allegedly murdering Kofi Abalo, 35.
The suspect’s plea was not taken and he would re-appear at court on 15 October.
Police Chief Inspector Joseph Idan told the court that in September this year, a misunderstanding ensued between Bosompem and the deceased, which resulted in a fierce fight.
Prosecution said during the fight the accused stabbed Abolo with a knife at his back.
Chief Inspector Idan said some neighbours and Bosompem rushed Abalo to the Asamankese Government Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Prosecution said Bosompem on hearing of the death of Abolo went into hiding but re-surfaced later and was arrested by some concerned citizens of Oworam and handed over to the police together with the knife he used in committing the crime.
