Ghana international Harrison Afful has admitted he needs to get back to club to retain his place in the Black Stars team ahead of the second round 2010 world cup qualifiers.
Afful is unattached after his year loan spell with Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko ended in May.
The 21-year-old has faced no competition at the left-back role with the injury of Bayern Leverkusen's Hans Adu-Sarpei.
Afful says he is bidding his time to secure a deal in Europe or elsewhere he will face the challenges of week-to-week action.
"Not having a team makes me worried because I want justify myself in a game, I think its up to God," Afful told Ghanasoccernet.com
"I can really say this but when the transfer window opens in January I'm confident that I will get a club.
"You know it's luck that counts so I'm praying to God."
Afful is part of Milovan Rajevac's reshuffled Black Stars pack for Wednesday's international friendly against South Africa in Bloemfontein.
