Barely three months after his confirmation as substantive chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Odotei Sowah has allegedly resigned from the club.
His resignation follows a chaotic board meeting held at the offices of the club in Adabraka on Thursday, with members of the board filing out one after the other, before the meeting ended.
First, reports of accusations and counter accusations from the meeting, filtered down to angry supporters who had besieged the offices demanding the mass resignation of the board.
Mr. Odotei walked out of the meeting, with few words for the press, “I have resigned from this club, I will give you details tomorrow,” then he hopped into a taxi and drove off.
Mr. Steven Akwetey the former Chairman of the interim management committee, in a similar fashion also walked out, but sounded more calm and diplomatic. “Everything is alright. It is just a small problem which we will resolve.”
Even though he said he was not in the mood to talk, Fawaz Zouk a member of the board, had some few words to spare, “tempers are very high, I have no comments.”
