Ghana shared the spoils with Korea DPR today at the FIFA Women's U-17 World Cup as both sides drew 1-1 in Christchurch on Day 2 of the tournament.In a game which the Black Maidens dominated possession, Ghana to had to rally back to pull a draw in the Group B opener after the Asians had taken the lead in the entertaining fixture.Ghana could have registered a goal in the opening half after Deborah Afriyie, Mercy Miles, Florence Dadson and Juliet Acheampong had all come close to scoring.Five minutes before the break and Ghana’s Mantenn Kobblah blocked the ball on the line to deny the Koreans the lead.Back from the break, the Koreans upped the attack and drew first blood in the 69th minute through Ho Un Byol, who scored from a free kick past goalkeeper, Patricia Mantey.But Ghana reacted to the goal and four minutes after the opener, the Black Maidens drew level on 73 minutes.Florence Dadson turned in cross from the right wing by Deborah Afriyie and that goal gave the Black Maidens a fair chance of going on to win the game as the time ticked away.Ghana would now play Germany, who beat Costa Rica 5-0 in the next group game on Saturday in Christchurch.Ghana line up: Patricia Mantey, Edem Atovor, Linda Eshun, Juliet Acheampong, Elizabeth Addo, Florence Dadson, Mercy Myles/ Elizabeth Cudjoe, Isha Fordjour, Mantenn Kobblah, Deborah Afriyie, Rosemary AmpemUnused Subs: Margaret Otoo, Linda Aboagye, Henrietta Annie, Ellen Coleman, Priscilla Okine, Abena Ampomah, Samira Suleman, Candice Osei-Agyemang, Priscilla SaaheneSource: GFA
