Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe arrived in Cairo on Friday in order to start negotiations with Egpytian side Zamalek's board over a potential deal.
A source close to the Ghanaian forward said the latter hasn't joined the Whites yet, but he's set to seal a move to the Cairo giants in the near future.
A Ghanasoccernet source says Zamalek will pay US$600,000 to Kotoko for the services of the forward while he is expected to earn US$150,000 per year.
"Bekoe is going to meet up with the club's officials to work out all the details and reach an agreement," the source told Filgoal.com.
The 21-year-old was named the CAF Confederation Cup top scorer with a 10-goal tally, despite the disqualification of his outfit from the Group Stage.
Earlier this year, the up-and-coming hitman was called up to Ghana national team.
He came on as a substitute in an exhibition against Mexico, before taking part in the Black Stars' 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Gabon.
With another foreigner on the way, the 11-time Egyptian champions would have to dispose of either Brazilian winger Ricardo Alves or Wissem Abdi.
Ricardo has already got back to training after serving an internal suspension, but the Tunisian defender is still banned, which indicates that Zamalek might get rid of him by January.
The negotiations with Bekoe also raised questions on the future striker Gamal Hamza, who's also suspended as a disciplinary measure.
Bekoe is expected to form an effective strike partnership with his compatriot Junior Agogo, who joined the Cairo giants months ago.
