The Ghana Football Association says it has received an offer to play African Champions Egypt in the New Year.
The Pharaohs have requested to play the Black Stars at the Cairo International Stadium on 11 February.
Both countries want to sharpen their arsenals before the start of the final of the joint 2010 Nations Cup/World Cup qualifiers in March next year.
Ghana play the Squirrels of Benin at home and Egypt also engage Zambia.
" We have two countries on board and we are considering their offers. Egypt are interested but a deal has not been sealed yet," GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi told Ghanasoccernet.com
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Association claims they have reached an agreement with the GFA.
"We have finalised all the details for this match in Nigeria. It is a Fifa window for friendly matches," said the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Football Association, Bolaji Ojo-Oba.
Officials said the venue of the West African derby has yet to be decided even though the southern town of Calabar is being highly considered.
