One of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopefuls, Francis Addai Nimoh, says time is due for the party to return to power but that can only be possible with a united front.
To him, the stars are perfectly aligned for the NPP to return to government in 2017, as the current administration under the governing National Democratic Congress appears incompetent, tired and riddled with corruption.
The only viable opposition he said, is the NPP but strangely, however, the party appears determined to reject the opportunity.
According to Mr. Addai Nimoh, the NPP is consumed by in-fighting and scandals. “Despite the insistence by some prominent members that the party is united, the reality is very different,” he noted.
In an interaction with some party delegates in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Addai Nimoh said the best way to end the internal wrangling is to vote against the two leading contenders, Nana Akuffo-Addo and Alan Kyeremanten come October 18 when the party goes to conference to elect the flagbearer.
He added that he was confident the delegates will elect the right person for the party.
