Egypt are hoping to beat Ghana next month to firmly establish themselves as the undisputed continental heavyweight champions.
The Pharaohs have recently overtaken Ghana as Africa’s best footballing nation with their sixth African Nations Cup title last year.
The Black Stars were the first African side to win the Nations Cup title four times but has recently been clattered by the Egyptians.
Even though the Pharaohs won the Nations Cup in 2006 and 2008, they have not met the Black Stars in recent times.
But fans of the north African country are confident that they will beat the Black Stars on 11 February when the two sides meet in Cairo in a friendly.
"I know the Pharoahs will beat the Black Stars and this talk about Ghana being the best is not true," Abdul Hamid Jazi, an ardent Egypt fan told Ghanasoccernet.
"We will nail the Black Stars next month so that we can end this argument once and for all.
"It is true that we have not met in recent times and we will show them why we have dominated African football in recent times."
