The process began at 0900 hours at the Greater Accra office of the Electoral Commission on the first of two days of filing of papers.
Mr Joseph A. Hyde, a Chartered Accountant, was the first candidate to arrive at the EC at 1100 hours.
Candidates are expected to fill a proposal form that should be endorsed by a seconder and 20 other registered voters within the particular region.
