Midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah earns a return to the Black Stars squad for next week's international friendly against Egypt after a year's absence.
Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has called up the Udinese player who has been playing regularly this season for the game in Cairo.
"He is playing regularly in the Serie A with Udinese and that is very good for his career and for the Black Stars," Milovan Rajevac told GFA's official website.
"Asamoah would present us with some options but he is a good player who is playing at a higher level and it is important to work with him as we prepare the team."
The Udinese attacker's last spell with the senior side came in 2008, when he made the final team for the African Nations Cup hosted on home soil.
Kwadwo Asamoah joins a number of players making a return to the Black Stars for the friendly with Egypt as Milovan Rajevac runs the rule over other Ghana internationals.
"We have to look at other players. Moussa Narry and Nana Kwesi Asare, who plays in Belgium, are coming in.
"We would look at them and work to get the team ready."
Also on the cards for the game is Asamoah Gyan who will return to Black Stars duty for the first time in a year. Gyan has not played for Ghana since the 2008 Nations Cup because of injury but gains a recall.
Moussa Narry gets a call up after missing Ghana's World Cup qualifier against Lesotho last year.
Nana Kwesi Asare, the Belgian-based left back makes the team having last featured for the Black Stars in a friendly against Morocco in 2007.
