Former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Betty Mould-Iddrisu is eyeing a place in the NDC national executive in the upcoming elections.
Mrs Mould-Iddrisu who resigned in government as Education Minister in 2010 wants a return in mainline politics and is vying for the position of the Vice Chairperson of the party.
In an interview with Joy News' Seth Kwame Boateng, she dismissed assertions she has not been active in the party and in the political scene.
"I have been very active on the political scene. Everybody can attest to the fact that I am in the Ashanti Region more than I am in Greater Accra.
"I have been involved in the voter registration in the party, the constituencies; whatever you have, I have been involved in it," she said.
She is banking her hopes on her popularity in the Ashanti Region to nick a place in one of the six vice chairmanship slots.
"It is not a problem at all [winning the election]. There are six vice chairs. I am the only woman[vying for a place] and I bring the hopes and wishes of the Ashanti people on board.
"That is the largest region we have in Ghana and we have 47 constituencies and I can say with all confidence that I do represent almost all of them," she stated.
