The National Ambulance Service has said it is investigating circumstances under which some of its staff dumped a sick old man on a walkway in Kokomlemle after they were turned away by the Police Hospital.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the service, Joseph Atia Akamah tells Joy News that they have identified and are investigating the team responsible for the ambulance.
He said those who are found to have misconducted themselves after investigations will be brought to book.
The old man, Jacob Basil Asare was left in the rain for the most part of Wednesday, November 5, 2014.

Two Joy News TV reporters, Solomon Joojo Cobbinah and Rebecca Darko, who found the homeless man said they learnt residents of Kokomelemele had tried to assist the man but they did not achieve success.
A resident who gave his name as Bright Boateng told the TV reporters that “we called the Kotobabi Police station to act, but officers said they only had a responsibility to carry the man if he was dead.”
With the police reluctant to take action, the resident said they called the Ambulance Service who arrived to convey the man to the Police hospital.
