The local Black Stars squad stand to reap $60,000 if Ghana lifts the trophy of the maiden African Nations Championship.
Gold Fields Ghana, headline sponsor of the senior national team announced the offer at Gulf Hotel camp base in Abidjan, ahead of Sunday's final against DR Congo.
The first ever Caf organised Championship is designed for locally-based footballers who play in their various domestic leagues.
According to the mining company with operations in Tarkwa and Damang in Ghana, the $60,000 package for the locally constituted Black Stars falls outside the existing sponsorship arrangement with the regular senior team.
Ghana, after two successive draws in the group stages, went on to beat their opponents for Sunday's final 3-0 to reach the semi-final before edging out Senegal 7-6 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time to reach the final of the maiden Championship.
Dr Tony Aubynn, Corporate Affairs Director at Gold Fields Ghana Limited said: "This extraordinary quality of not giving up despite the criticism, has earned this team numerous admirers both in Ghana and the rest of the continent. The gesture from Gold Fields is in recognition of the team’s achievements thus far and is also aimed at motivating them to give a repeat performance against DR Congo."
