President John Evans Atta Mills has withdrawn the nomination of the Deputy Communications Minister designate Dr. Nartey Siaw-Sappore.
Details of the president’s action are sketchy but sources close to the Castle say Mr Siaw-Sappore's withdrawal may have been spawned by allegations that he holds two passports.
The latest development brings to two the number of nominations the President has withdrawn since he begun appointments in January 7.
The first was Hon. Moses Asaga who was then slated for the Works and Housing Ministry.
The withdrawal according to Joy News' parliamentary correspondent Araba Koomson was confirmed by a statement signed by the President and was read on the floor of Parliament on Tuesday.
