The Ga-Dangme Youth Association have threatened to demonstrate against the acquisition of an Office at Ridge in Accra by former President J.A. Kufuor.
Members say the acquisition is yet another attempt to pilfer what is rightfully theirs.
The former president was said to have begun his official duties from the Ridge residence early January, pending a review of the Chinery-Hesse Committee report which among other things promises an office facility for the ex-president.
Prince Derek Adjei, spokesperson of the group told Joy News “we are not going to allow one inch of Ga-Dangme lands to be stolen by anyone under the guise of the government of Ghana.”
He explained their action is not against the ex-president or any member of the past administration, and cautioned all others who are nursing any intentions of taking Ga lands to desist from it.
He said by “the same principle President Kufuor returned the state vehicles; he should return the property to forestall any action by the group."
