Mobile Content Communications, a telecommunications service provider has in conjunction with MTN officially launched a (Webs and Do) mobile services for Sekondi Eleven Wise and Hasaacas football clubs in Takoradi.
The package is aimed at strengthening both teams financially to improve on their performances in the Premier League.
Supporters of both clubs are expected to text “DO” or “WISE” as part of the arrangement depending on which team they support through SMS to MTN 1961, with each texts attracting a monthly charge of 1.50 pesewas, of which part will go to their respective clubs.
Alhaji Raji, Public Relations Officer of Sekondi Eleven Wise pledged that supporters of both teams will give the service their maximum support and hope that the deal will yield the desired results for both teams.
He urged supporters of the two clubs to continue to contribute towards the growth of their respective clubs, adding that “our sponsors are here to support us and we will have to find ways of supporting and sustaining our fund-raising activities”.
Mr Jamil Maraby, the Chief Executive Officer of Wise also thanked the organizers and reminded management of the two clubs that football is a competitive game that must not bring division among the leadership and people.
“We must work together as one people despite our club differences and find ways of supporting each other to remain in the Premier League” he stressed.
Nana Banyin Ayisson, the Chief Executive Officer of Hasaacas stressed that no one has monopoly over football and that they therefore need a strong and united team spirit to survive and give more opportunities to the many young football enthusiasts in the region to develop their talent.
Mr. William Yeboah, the Branch Manager of Mobile Content Communications said the service is basically to give information on sports as pertains for both clubs in the region.
He said followers of the Clubs can also send suggestions, views or comments by following the same procedure and assured that their views will be communicated back to the authorities for the develop of the sport in the Region.
