Black Stars midfielder Rahim Ayew has admitted that he does not know yet whether Milovan Rajevac will hand him a starting role in Sunday's 2010 World Cup qualifying opener against Benin.
The 21-year-old is touted a suitable replacement for the right wing role in the absence of Laryea Kingston and blosomed during at this month's CHAN tournament.
The Eleven Wise player exhibited enormous strength, good ball control and bustling pace which earned him rave reviews at the tournament.
"I'm cool and can't say I will start. It's the coach who will decide and I should be ready to do what he says that is why I'm in the team," Ayew confidently told Ghanasoccernet.
"I'm not scared at all to start and not under pressure to perform. The coach has told me about my qualities and I should be able to improve on that as well.
"I'm confident and believe in my capabilities. I ask the senior men for advice when needed but for now, I'm cool," he added.
Rahim is one of five locally-based initially invited from the CHAN squad to the senior side.
