Head coach of Ghana's U-20 team, Sellas Tetteh has admitted his team has been handed tough opponents for this year's Fifa World Youth Championships after Sunday's draw.
Ghana has been drawn in group D to play Uzbekistan, England and Uruguay in September.
The Black Satellite will be bidding to become the first African country to win the tournament in its 32 year history.
The African champions have a mounting task to survive against countries with a well-structured youth football policy.
"The group is solid, difficult and tough but England will be a huge force to reckon with considering their background," Sellas told Ghanasoccernet.
"England have qualified to represent Europe in the U-20 Championship in Sweden in June and it will be an opportunity to assess their team proper.
"Uruguay and the other teams have good youth football policy so definitely will be difficult to play them but we will be ready for them when the competition kick start,'' he added.
Based in Ismailia, Ghana will open their campaign against Uzbekistan on 26 September.
Nigeria are paired in Group B against Spain, Tahiti and Venezuela.
Cameroon have USA, Germany and Korea Republic in Group C and South Africa face UAE, Honduras and Hungary in Group E.
Host Egypt meets Trinidad and Tobbago, Paraguay and Italy in Group C.
The tournament kick-starts from 24 September to 16 October 2009.
