Operatives of National Security have taken away the three remaining state vehicles in possession of former President J.A Kufuor.
The Ford Expedition transporters, which were taken away Monday morning, leaves the former President with no state vehicle in his custody currently.
It would be recalled that some weeks ago, the National Security asked Mr. Kufuor to return state vehicles, including three BMWs to be replaced with Chryslers, but he rejected the offer.
According to the former President’s spokesman, Mr. Frank Agyekum, no reasons were given for Monday’s exercise, but he believed it might be a follow up to previous correspondents between the two offices.
“No special reasons were given except to say that the state was coming to take them up...it’s something that has been known for some time now,” he told Joy News.
“In all when he left office at the time, there were 11 vehicles under him, and they first took away five and left the six; those were the three BMWs and three Ford Expedition; and they came for the three BMWs and today they have taken away three Ford Expedition,” he explained.
