Asante Kotoko shrugged off the torrid crisis at management level to qualify for the final of the Otumfuo Invitational Tournament beating Beechem Chelsea 2-1.
Goals from Jordan Opoku and Stephen Manu set the porcupine warriors up with local rivals King Faisal in the grande-finale.
The win serves as huge booster for the league champions who have had a patchy run with strings of humiliating defeats.
Paul Aidoo, new signing for Beechem Chelsea reduced the tally for the league debutants.
The game was hotly contested but the porcupine warriors showed more class and dexterity upfront and with a sense of urgency ran away with the three maximum points.
In the other semifinal duel King Faisal thumped Sekondi Eleven Wise by 4-1. The defeat is humiliating for a side that celebrated its 50th Anniversary just last week.
Samad Oppong got a brace for the Kumasi based side with Prince Andoh and Abedi Sarfo each hitting the back of the net, and putting the game beyond the reach of the Sekondi-based side.
Francis Addae goal could only be described as a consolation.
