Former President of the Ghana Football Association Ben Koufie has asked the Ministry of Sports and the Football Association to patch their differences within the shortest possible time.
Reports of government interference in the sport has commanded a lot inches in the local press and there have been reactions and counter reactions from the two-parties.
Governement wants a reconstitution of the management committees of the various national teams and is also putting pressure on the FA to enforce the five-year ban imposed on Asante Kotoko's CEO for his role in February's stadium disaster.
Football's world governing body Fifa has warned Ghana of possible sanctions and has been briefed on the recent developments.
Koufie who doubles as a Caf technical instructor is a worried man.
"It is a worrying situation that at this time this issue about governmental interference is coming up. If this goes on, we will be opened to a ban from Fifa because Fifa frowns on that," Koufie told Ghanasoccernet.com
"So what we can only do is to settle the matter even before Fifa comes in."
