The Founder and bankroller of King Faisal Babies, Alhaji Karim Grunsah has said that his team was poised to beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the finals of the MTN Otumfuo Challenge Cup scheduled for April 22 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium, Kumasi.
Alhaji Grunsah who was speaking to newsmen in Kumasi on Wednesday, insisted that, “all that Faisal was calling for is fair officiating during the match to help advance our team’s cause”.
Faisal advanced to the final after upstaging Sekondi Eleven Wise 4-1 whilst the Porcupine Warriors accounted for Bechem Chelsea 2-1 in the semi-finals of the tournament which forms part of activities commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the enstoolment of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene.
Alhaji Grunsah expressed his disgust that bad officiating had over the years cost his team in most competitive matches against Kotoko in particular but that this time round Faisal was anticipating a fair officiating in honour of the Asantehene.
The Founder praised the playing body of Faisal for their commitment and sterling performance in the tournament so far and hoped that they would do same in the final match.
He also urged supporters to rally behind the playing body to enable them annex the Otumfuo Cup.
