An Indian tycoon has expressed interest in taking over Ghanaian Premier League side Hearts of Oak and he is ready to offer US$ 6 million, according to an offical of the club.Vice-chairman of the IMC Frank Nelseon revealed on Joy FM's Sports Link programme that the Inidan is prepared to even up the bid."He told me he was interested and wanted to buy but I said the club didn't belong to me," Nelson said."He is yet to make an official bid for it anyway. But it tells you that there is something in the club - we are not doing things right somewhere."If I had a club of Hearts pedigree, I will even not sell it for 10,000 million dollars. The fans should realize that we (managment team) are here and can lift the club up.The club's debt is said to be around US$ 1.3 million and the Indian businessman's take-over if successful will be an isolated one.Hearts have failed to merchandise the club after several on the pitch successes including the 2000 Caf Champions League and the Super Cup in 2001.Last year, a British Virgin Islands consortium, Fortia, led by Herbert Mensah announced their take-over of AshantiGold Football Club. But that was discontinued by the club's board of directors early this year.Source: ghanasoccernet
