The Ghana Football Association has agreed a 1.7 million Ghana cedis with Optimum Media Prime as the new broadcast partner for the Glo Premier League.
OMP is the parent company of Ghana-based television station Metro TV and also have the broadcasting rights for the home matches of the Black Stars World Cup qualifiers.
The new broadcast partner replaces GBS whose deal was terminated in January due to the liquidation their parent company Gateway Television.
The two-and-half year deal will take effect for the second half of the League which begins on 03 May and also be aired on South-African Pay-TV channel Super Sport.
An amount of 300,000 Ghana cedis will be paid for this term.
The 2009/2010 season will cost OMP 600,000 Ghana cedis and 800,000 Ghana cedis will be paid for the 2010/2011 season.
