Ghana will after their dismal performance against Egypt in an international Polo championship last week, take on Nigeria and South Africa in another three-day international tournament in Accra on Friday.
The Egyptians defeated Ghana by nine goals to three and half in the opening match and 5-4 in the final match.
Mr Kwakye Dopua-Dei, Captain of the Accra Polo Club who briefed GNA Sports in Accra on Monday, said the tournament under the auspices of the Rotary Club of Accra would be sponsored by the Vanguard Assurance Group.
He said the event, which is aimed at raising funds to support the activities of the Rotary Club was also to strengthen the cordial relationship between the three countries.
Some of the players expected to feature for Ghana include Kenneth Quartey, Jamil Ibrahim, George Agyeman and Suleimana Iddrisu.
Mr Dopua-Dei gave the assurance that Ghana would do everything possible to win the competition by defeating both Nigeria and South Africa.
Mr Harold Awuah Darko, Chief Executive of Vanguard Assurance Group would present the magnificent trophy to the winners.
