Fans of Asante Kotoko say they will resist any attempt to have their club participate in the President Cup scheduled for 1 July at the Ohene Djan stadium.
The Ghana League Clubs Association is yet to name the two clubs that will play in the prestigious cup match but Kotoko's name is high on the agenda.
The move according to reports in Kumasi is meant to protest the five year suspension slapped on their beleaguered Chief Executive Officer, Sylvster Asare Owusu.
The fans claim he was wrongly accused and used as a scapegoat for the incident that claimed four lives.
They embarked on a demonstration to register their displeasure at the recommendations of the committee that indicted their CEO.
"Ghalca or whoever they are should not even attempt to include Kotoko’s name because we won’t play or turn up,'' An angry fan said.
The Porcupine Warriors have endured a difficult campaign this season.
