Lion Fighters defeated Zain Professionals 240-190 in the finals to win this year’s Ayawaso Cards Gala played at Accra Newtown on Sunday.
The game, which was started on a fast note, saw Zain taking the lead in the first 15 minutes by 120-80.
The champions redoubled their efforts and deservedly overtook their counterparts and clinched victory.
On their way to the finals, Zain beat Bafana Bafana while Lion Fighters also edged out Holy Wood.
Other teams that took part in the competition were Wait and See, Japan Stars, Scorpion Stars, Freedom Stars, Invincible Stars, Four Killers and All Friends.
Mr Joseph Agbeko, President of the Ayawaso Playing Cards Association, called on the players to avoid hooliganism.
He stated that punitive measures, would be taking against any club that would indulge in acts, which would mar the beauty of the game.
Mr Prince Eric Alaley, said the indoor game brought unity to the players and supporters and everything possible must be done to promote the game.
The League which would be sponsored by Zain and Baron Distilleries begins on May 17.
